Cleangro’s traditional Showmakers family is well known as an early season assortment. It is composed of large flowered varieties of chrysanthemums with natural garden plant shapes and extended flowering periods.
Our new breeding programme is focused on diversifying the flower forms and colours while increasing resistance to handling damage and diseases. We are also busy working on varieties with the more continental shapes, faster flowering periods and later response times. Together with Royal Van Zanten, Cleangro can now offer a wider range of reliable varieties for outdoor and indoor use.
We are still improving the cell pack assortment, making the products more attractive to the consumers and easier to produce. Please take a look at our leaflet below to see the current assortment.
The full assortment, together with the latest trial varieties, is grown outside every year here in Chichester. Our Showmaker chrysanthemums flower from August to the beginning of November, please contact us for an appointment and we will be pleased to show you around.
We also trial chrysanthemum varieties grown indoors under controlled conditions at various times throughout the year.
Flowering dates are based on observations made in Cleangro's trials in Chichester on the South Coast of England.
